Battlefront on the DS? Who would have seen that coming. Even more surprising, it is really good. Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron on the DS is a fun Star Wars top down shooter that manages to bring the fun of Battlefront into the palm of your hand. Want to find out more? Read after the break.
With Phantom Menace 3D coming out I thought it would be fitting to discuss Star Wars games! First off is Elite Squadron on the DS. While not as fully featured as the PSP version, this game still has Instant Action which will add hours on to your play time.

| Top down view is an interesting take on Battlefront. |
The campaign features an interesting story about two clone brothers. The story starts around the Clone Wars era and ends post Return of the Jedi. Some may find the story entertaining while others may think it kinda lame. It really depends on your own opinion. Elite Squadron plays really well. Blasting away battle droids has never been more fun and the top down perspective makes it a unique take on Battlefront gameplay.

My Score: 7/10

Good review - and it looks interesting. I hadn't even heard of this being out on the DS - I recall the old PC games that were first-person shooters, and I really enjoyed those with groups of friends, but it looks like there is a good deal to like here too.
ReplyDeleteI have played all the Battlefront games and I would recommend all of them.
ReplyDeleteLike Chalgyr, I never knew this came out for the DS. I like that it uses a top down perspective.
ReplyDeleteThat last screenshot makes the game look amazing. I may pick this up if I can find it cheap.
It is a good game and for a good price is well worth it. I forgot to mention this in the review but the music and sound is great. production quality for this game is high.
